Our Commitment
CoinKirin strives for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance across all pages. We believe cryptocurrency market data should be accessible to everyone — including users with visual, motor, auditory, or cognitive disabilities.
Implemented Accessibility Features
The following features are part of our active accessibility effort:
- Semantic HTML: Pages use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, lists, and tables so assistive technology can navigate content predictably.
- ARIA labels & roles: Interactive widgets (menus, dialogs, tabs) expose their state and purpose via ARIA attributes where semantic HTML is not enough.
- Keyboard navigation: Every interactive control is operable via keyboard. Press / or Ctrl+K from any page to jump into search. Tab order follows visual order.
- Dark mode & contrast: System-respecting dark theme. Color contrast meets WCAG AA for body text in both light and dark modes.
- Focus management: Modals trap focus and restore it on close. Skip-to-content links are available for keyboard users.
- Screen-reader friendly tables: Data tables include <caption>, <th> scoped headers, and meaningful row/column structure so screen readers can announce cell context.
- Language metadata: Every page declares its lang attribute, including right-to-left support for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Urdu.
Known Limitations
We are honest about what is not yet fully accessible:
- Some interactive price charts are rendered as SVG without full screen-reader alternatives. Raw numerical data is available via the table views and public API.
- Third-party embedded content (news article thumbnails, CDN images) may lack alt text when the source does not provide it.
- Machine-translated text in non-primary languages may occasionally contain awkward phrasing that can confuse screen reader pronunciation.
We are actively working to close these gaps.
Standards & Intent
CoinKirin's accessibility work aligns with the following standards:
- WCAG 2.1 AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA — our target conformance level.
- EN 301 549 (EU) — European accessibility standard for ICT products and services — our statement intent aligns with its requirements.
- Section 508 (US) — US federal accessibility requirement — we aim to meet its functional performance criteria.
Most Recent Audit
Last internal accessibility review: April 2026. External third-party audit is planned before end of year.
